I am a software engineer and a hardware tinkerer. I have my own company looking to build ambient intelligent spaces to support independence as we age. You can learn details at http://www.inhabitech.com.
Many projects I work on are open source, you can find the opensource projects at https://github.com/smartspaces-io (the home of the SmartSpaces space automation platform) and, for my personal projects, https://github.com/kmhughes.
I created the Google opensource project Interactive Spaces (http://www.interactive-spaces.org) and was the founder of the Google Experience Center program, which designs and builds experiential spaces for Google.
